Focus on... iDate

Founded in 1977 and headquartered in Montpellier, France, IDATE is one of Europe’s most established analyst firms, focusing on the Telecom, Internet and Media sectors.

The company created the DigiWorld Programme which is a forum for debating the changes taking place in the ‘DigiWorld’ of Telecom, Internet and Media. This year the DigiWorld Summit will take place in Montpellier on 18 th, 19 th November 2009. Normally the event attracts c1200 attendees, 200 speakers and 80 exhibitors.

Clearly the three areas scrutinised by this company – Telecom, Internet and Media – are ‘hot’. And the desirability of this information is increased as company analysts tend to focus on how this technology affects EMEA markets. Due to this and because iDate has spread its risk by splitting its revenues roughly 50 / 50 between private and public sectors then, whilst there may be some bumps in the road, this company is well placed to ride out the current economic storm.
