Focus on... iSuppli's acquisition of Screen Digest

Suppli , headquartered in the USA, recently announced its intention to buy the UK-headquartered Screen Digest , which includes its wholly owned subsidiary Adams Media Research (AMR). The purchase will be completed by the end of 2010.

The acquisition of Screen Digest means that iSuppli will be able to offer its clients a comprehensive understanding of the Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) value chain. Further, Screen Digest’s strong British base enhances iSuppli’s analyst and sales presence in Europe, serving as a launching pad for the combined companies’ services. Post-acquisition the company will be c170 strong.

Said Lloyd Kaplan, Chief Operating Officer at iSuppli. “The clients of Screen Digest represent the key players in the global media industry, including Hollywood studios, broadcasters, telecommunications operators, leading game publishers and Fortune 500 entertainment companies. Together, iSuppli and Screen Digest can serve the needs of all the key players influencing the global technology and media businesses.”

iSuppli has always had a strong reputation producing intelligence about the electronics supply chain. Because of this, the company has historically been particularly active in the key markets of North America and Asia Pacific. Thus the combination of electronics and media / broadcast-related intelligence can only compliment and strengthen the iSuppli portfolio, and provide the company with a foothold in Europe, and a more significant footprint in North America and Asia Pacific too. Good luck!
