Analysts Matter
eNewsletter: Analysts Matter - April 2010
Focus on… K2
K2 was recently established; it is a Sift Media company. K2 analysts, led by Dr Katy Ring and Kate Hanaghan, focus on Cloud Computing, Sustainability, Innovation, Skills, Outsourcing and Software Satisfaction.
Via its links with Sift Media, K2 analysts have access to decision-makers and budget holders in the Public Sector, Finance and Human Resources. In addition, K2 analysts have many years experience of advising the CIO community.
K2 analysts take a ‘horizontal scanning’ approach to their research, which is in three parts. Firstly, sifting through key information about a given market (or offering); secondly, understanding the market drivers; and thirdly, inference, meaning the development of future scenarios which will aid decision-makers in their strategic planning process.
K2’s business model is sensible: Leveraging its connections (via its parent company) with key decision-makers working in the Public Sector, Finance and Human Resources whilst, at the same time, harnessing the knowledge gained from the CIO community. This business model has been proven to work for some long established analyst companies so should work too for K2. Good luck!
